I haven't completed anything new but wanted to change my picture so...here's an interesting piece that my daughter brought back from Panama. She & her husband had gone on a cruise. One of the stops was Panama where they took a tour. In a little village, there was a little 'ole woman making these quilted pieces. Susan bought one for me :) It's so intricate and all done by hand! Haven't decided what to do with it except to display it on my wall.

I've seen this in person and it's impressive, but now that I'm doing some embroidery myself, I've been re-reminded (word?) how special this is! Look at those teensy-tiny blanket stitches, not to mention the fancy stitches in the water and on the leaves. Does anyone know what those stitches are called? I think on your wall is the perfect place for it, Barb.
I like this piece. I just discovered your blog (courtesy of your neighbor and fellow quilting pal, Barbara). I'll be checking in on your blog regularly. I have a couple of big books with embroidery stitches...I'm going to look up those fancy stitches and see if I can find out what they're called.
