Civil War Love Letter quilt

This is my last big project, still in progress. My friend,"Pineland Patches" Barbara, is doing the Dear Jane quilt and I wanted to do something similar.Wasn't ready to do the applique that is required in the Dear Jane quilt. Came across the Civil War Love Letter book. Got hooked! Learned to paper piece out of necessity with this quilt. The top is done and it's sandwiched. I'm in the process of handquilting each of the 121 blocks.Have 30 done so far.

I've seen this quilt in person and it's beautiful! I'm envious that my Dear Jane project got you started on this one, and yours is almost done but mine's not even close. ;)

Beautiful! I love historical-based quilts. I've looked at the Civil War Love Letter Quilt book myself a few times. I am (sometimes) working on a Dear Jane quilt.

Oh how pretty! I haven't seen a finished Civil War Diary quilt yet. I have the first book, but I hear really good things about the Love Letters book. How did you like it? :) Did you do all of yours in Civil War Repro's or just fabrics you liked for the quilt?
