Wanted to try the 9-patch scrappy project. It was so hard to be spontaneously "scrappy" so I went with a theme, yellow & blue with a yellow block in the middle of each 9-patch. This afternoon I played catch up & I'm now one day ahead of schedule :)

Good job on your 9patches! I also have a bit of a hard time being totally spontaneous with "scrappy" quilts. Cutting up my scraps is helping because there is a large variety to pick from!
Wow! If I wasn't tied up with family right now, I'd be working along with you, Barb. I love what you did that makes you feel good about being scrappy -- a center yellow block in each square, perfect!
You jumped on the bandwagon too? Grrrr, I guess I might have to rethink this rebellion now that I seem to be the only quilter in the world not doing this. lol

I'm doing this, too! I chose red, blue and white/cream for my fabrics. Love the blue and yellow!
